New HP Z3100 problem...Help!

I just installed my 24" Z3100PS and it went like a dream. However, when trying to activate the APS software to calibrate my monitor, the following occurred:

I had to enter the Activation code from the CD envelope, which I did. I then pressed "Activate."

The window changed to request further information:

Proxy Server Address, and Port. I was unable to get the software to activate. I tried entering various pieces of information from the printer's Information list in the front panel, but I don't really know what info to put in.

I'm running Windows XP Professional, and have the printer connected to my router, with one other computer forming the network. I can print from my computer; I just can't register the APS software.

I'd appreciate any help.

Most likely if you do not know what your proxy information is then you are not going through a proxy. Few people use a proxy server especially in homes. Did you try telling it you have no proxy?

Can you set the connection to Bonjour and just use an ip address? You can find that info in the network settings on your printers front panel.
