| Epson r2400 roll feed I am at the end of my tether with my epson r2400 ever since i got it
when they first came out it has been flakey printing on roll paper
it always took several attempts to get it to print a pano, and yes I always
made sure that the paper was cut square etc.
As I print quite a few it was frustrating to say the least.
now it has decided that it will not print any roll at all, the print driver
tells me that I have the wrong type of paper source selected and cancels the print job. To get round this I disabled the epson print monitor and
that worked for about a week and now it justs comes up with a paper jam
I have checked the path and everything is ok, I have deleted the
printer driver and reinstalled to no avail.
The printer works ok with sheet paper, although it was telling me that
I had the wrong source selected with a3 last week!!!
I dont want to throw it out as i have purchased a cis for it .
however I need to get printing and dont have the time
to keep on with the r2400, even though I have a brand new cis
and inks I dont feel like purchasing another epson in my life after the troubles I have had with this r2400.
If anybody has had similar issues and found a solution I would be
obliged if you could advise what you did to resolve
alternatively any recommendations for a new 17" printer which will
take roll , all things being equal I wont buy an epson but if they
are a lot better i may had to rethink!!! |
