| Re: EPSON 9880 or HP Z3100?? I have a Z3100 that I have owned since December and have yet to put into production - Thanks Colorbyte! Drivers for the rip are yet to be released. However, I would not let the spectrophotometer in the Z3100 sway your opinion because it is pretty much worthless. Very low qualtiy. If you want to make accurate profiles, you will need a much better spectrophotometer - trust me on this one.
The HP seems to be much better designed overall, than the Epsons (I also have 9600's and 7600's). When it comes to ink loss - hands down HP - if you do a decent volume, the ink savings alone will offset a lot of cost. Again, as I stated, I have not put the printer into full production, so I can't give my "expert" opinion at this time - just some first impressions from the little work I have ran on the Z3100.
