Another QImage question...

Is there a way within QImage to move files from the current folder to another folder? Trying to do so within the file "browser" has caused the app to hang a couple of times. (I've waited until all print jobs were done before this...)

It'd be great if I can do this safely w/in QI, so we can keep track of what's already printed (i.e. moving printed files into a "done" folder) as new files are constantly being added when printing for events.

Thanks!

Re: Another QImage question...

Jerry,

There does not appear to be a way to move or copy files within Qimage. You might email Mike Chaney, creator of Qimage, directly with your request. At the ddisoftware.com site, follow the Qimage, Support, Tech Support Email links to initiate an email.

I also recently discovered the Qimage group at Yahoo - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/qimage/messages. Mike posts and answers regularly to the group.

And I agree with your earlier comment - Qimage is a great software tool!

You should be able to accomplish this. What do you have setup for File Manager in Qimage?

Re: Another QImage question...

Ron, and Jerry,

I stand corrected. I was trying to Left-Click-Drag-and-Drop a file from the thumbnail view to another folder displayed directly above. However, if you highlight a thumbnail (Left-Click, or more than one thumbnail using CTRL-Left-Click), then Right-Click the mouse to call up the file action options. "Move Images..." is an available action option. Moving includes the option of creating a new folder to move to, or move to an existing folder.

Windows Explorer appears to be the default File Manager (under Utilities, File Manager/Photo Editor Setup). It does not appear to make a difference whether leaving the default, or changing it to another FM, such as Bridge.

Learn something new... Thank you.

Joe
