Epson 7500 Problem

Hello,

I am working with an Epson Stylus Pro 7500 that will not print longer than 44" ... and no one here knows why.

Has anyone ran into this problem or know why it would happen?

From what I have been told, this printer should keep printing until it runs out of paper. Is this true? And, if so, what is stopping it from doing so now?

I have one of those beasts, and I have many times printed longer than 44". Make sure that you have created a custom paper size in the "Print with Preview" dialogue--make it at least one inch longer than you need, and either 24" wide or a little wider (24.2") if you want to get closer to the edge.

I have been making custom paper sizes in the "Print With Preview" dialogue box for three years now with no real problems. First on OS 9, then on OS X. Remember on OS X you need to "0-out" all your margins--Epson admitted to me after some anguish on my part that they have a glitch in their OS X driver and I doubt if they'll fix it soon if ever.
