What is up with the Epson Stylus Photo R1800!!!

Anyone out there with any experience with the Epson Stylus Photo R1800? Let me know what you think!

It looks cool, but I haven's used an Epson since the 1280 days, and mechanically, the 1280 sucked.

I am waiting eagerly for your responses.

I am under the impression that the R1800 isn't available yet (excluding the Japanese version).

It is shipping early this month.

Well, too early to tell as its not shipped yet as others have noted. HOWEVER, its reported to be a large version of the R800 technology and if that is indeed the case (and I have no doubt it is), it will be a dynamite piece of gear. I have an R800 in my studio sitting next to a PRO 4000, and as far as I'm concerned, the color accuracy, detail, and quality of the R800 cannot be beat.
