Re: Fuji Pictro 3500 questions

Andrew,

Thank you for your help. We got the profile, and everything looks much better now. Images still look too pink (or reddish) under artificial light, but probably Ok under daylight.

I have one more question: after I turn on the printer and start printing, there are sometimes defects (on third or fourth) image -- small white circle somewhere on the print. I cleaned the scanner, as documentation suggested, but that does not help. Had you seen something similar?

Thanks,
Eugene

it's a spec of dust, or worse, something in your water. I've seen these artifacts on a handful of prints over the last year, most often immediately after I've changed donor or receiver - perhaps some dust got into the feed path? If it is only a few prints, and not consistent, don't worry about it. If it's happening on every print, I would imagine that you either have a defect or a foreign object - big piece of dust - lodged on the print path somewhere. Or, perhaps, the felt seal around the edge of the donor/receiver boxes has something lodged in it that is causing something to come in contact with your paper?

Tough call - if it's consistent, I'd say that a service call is in order.
