Fuji pg 3000 on last leg...

Does anyone know where I may get cheap refurb replacement parts for a picto 3000?
I've gotten a line down the length of my prints and despite cleaning as best I could it remains.

Fuji is telling me its probably the optical unit (laser) and get this, a new replacement unit is $4000, a refurb unit is over $1900 !
Think they're trying to tell me something ?

Bought this unit used and have personally replaced $400 woth of clutch gears and can't justify buying a new 3500 as its not a money maker for me but something I need on occassion. There are times I need to make higher quality prints than my Olympus can give me. I thought of just getting the 8500 Kodak but I hear its matte capabilities aren't that good.

So I'm after used parts. Anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks, Bruce

Rob, thanks, my line is running horizontal on horizontal. I had tried the cleaning wand several times to no avail.
