My cameras date was off. I want to change dates of files. what best way?
I have CS3 & CS4 and Lightroom 1.
I remember lightroom had easy great feature for this, but just imported these into LR, looked at metadata panel, and nothing will budge on date, so I'm lost. thanks.

One of the great benefits of adding or modifying metadata with Adobe Bridge is that you can do it simultaneously to multiple files. Just select the files you want to modify and enter the information.
You might find Adobe Bridge helpful. Perhaps others will provide better advice. And I don't know if you will find that Bridge has the date locked too, as you experienced with LR.

In Lightroom, select the images and chose menu 'Metadata - Edit Capture Time'. If you want Lightroom to change the date of the RAW file itself, and not just update its XML file, you first go to 'Catalog Settings - Metadata - Write date or time changes into proprietary raw files'. This is Lightroom 2 however, I'm not sure if Lightroom 1 can do this as well (but you could use the LR 2 demo).
Johan,
looked like great fix. IN lightroom I changed from 9/30/09 to 10/30/09, just as you said. So in lightroom they now say 10/30/09
But in Bridge Metadata the images still say 9/30/09. So I'm lost. Don't get it.
