Photoshop CS3 plug in problems

i have this one plugin from the imaging factory called convert to black and white pro that PS CS3 on my intel macbook pro will not recognize. i have tried everything. i know where to put the plugins. i have installed about 4 other plugins successfully, all from various companies. i do not understand since i have CS3 on my other machine, a G5 desktop power PC..any ideas

If the plug-in is old enough that it's not a universal binary, that may be your problem: it may be compiled only for Power PC.

ok now what i guess i am looking for a new b/w plugin that has a prefilter (like a red/green over the lens filter), a brightness/contrast mode that uses paper steps/exposure sliders....all the features i miss

Aperture does a great job of all that.

… as does Lightroom. Actually, there’s a slew of B&W processing programs and plugins out there. I even helped develop a particularly anal-retentive one (or is it just emulsion retentive?).
