Re: CS4 issues at 100% screen view

Noel: THANK YOU!

I found it, it's on the DVD, not where the Adobe white paper says it will be but I found it, under "goodies"

They make the bigger tiles for the 32 bit version, but no the 64 bit version. I moved to both and it actually works!.

32 bit runs much smoother after you move around once or twice, it's like it has to warm up, then it's great. The 64 bit version also runs much better with the 32 bit plug in installed, not sure why it would work however.

Sincerely
Paul Caldwell

Hm, perhaps just the very presence of the plugin file in the folder triggers the functionality. After all, it's not like it's actually adding external functionality to Photoshop as most plugins do - it's simply adjusting internal functionality.

Re: CS4 issues at 100% screen view

Here is an adobe link, that will address my issue.

They don't support it, but this allows the GPU to work.

OpenGL and GPU not available in Photoshop CS4 (Windows XP 64-bit Edition)

Hey Paul,

Did that registry script actually work? Are you seeing the accelerated menus and features now?

I recall in the situation I faced that when I was actually able to get Photoshop to use the GPU features of the (older) nVidia card, performance was so bad as to make me want a new card anyway.
