CS3 crop and rotate problem

I'm having problems cropping and rotating in CS3.
In CS2 I could crop and image and then rotate the cropped area all at the same time. Now, in CS3, when I rotate the croppred 'frame' the end result is not what I expected. The cropped and rotated image chops off a significant part of the bottom of the image.
Any ideas why this should be happening??

Re: CS3 crop and rotate problem

I just tried it in CS3 standard and it worked just as expected (and as it has in the past).

Have you closed and reopened Photoshop and found it to do the same thing again?

You don't have anything in the Width, Height, or Resolution fields at the top of the screen do you? If you use those fields they come back as defaults next time and if you want to use the more freehand form of cropping you need to clear them.

Re: CS3 crop and rotate problem

No, I always have dimensions set in the width/height fields, as well as the resolution field. It seems to occur when I crop and rotate OUTSIDE of the actual image. Any other ideas???

Re: CS3 crop and rotate problem

I think I may have duplicated what you see. If I select a crop area, and rotate the area to where part of the selection is not covering the picture area, that part is chopped off when I click the "do it" check mark. Is that what you're talking about? I would expect that behavior if part of the selection is not covering the picture area.
