Aperture/iDVD help

I want to create a DVD as a proofing tool for weddings. I have created a version in Aperture which just has the image number (no suffix) and there are 400 images.
When I go to iDVD the media pane imports the images in a random order which means that each image has to be found in the correct order and dragged onto the main screen or if I select all and drag they have to be rearranged one at a time, thats fine if there are only a few images, but is a pain when there are 400!
Have I done something wrong or missed something? How do I import/display the images in their correct order?
The other thing I want to do is have an instruction screen - "what to do next" type of thing, can this be done within either program or do I have create one outside and import, if so what size (dimensions) will it need to be to look similar to the images?
Any help is gladly welcomed as usual.

Kevin

Providing a link to that forum would be helpful in directing people there.
