batch program

Hi good to join the community!

A while ago I had a wonderful free action/program called "Quick Photo Studio Pro" which is great for proofing resizing etc. However, it has recently decided to close everytime i select the folder to work on. I was going to do a reinstall but I cant remember where I got this download from and wondered if anyone knew of it or something similar that I can batch jobs on?

Many Thanks

Re: batch program

I'm not acquanted with the program you mention here. The only thing that I could find with a name similar is this one. It is shareware and not freeware.

I personally use Breezebrowser Pro for the functions that you have named here. It has a proofing function which will do resizing, compression, sharpening, watermarking and a host of other things all in one pass. The program does so much more and is one of the fastest RAW viewers I have found. I think it is around 80.00 and is worth every penny.

Re: batch program

It's kind of funny you ask about that here.

Quick Photo Studio Pro is a Visual Basic scripting application for Photoshop. I wrote it for our studio a few years ago and decided to distribute it freely to anyone who wanted it. I don't know why it would have quit working. It is no longer supported in any form or fashion. There were versions for PS7 and PSCS. I never updated it for CS2. Some of the features work on CS2, some don't. I have attached the CS version of the application to this post. Please feel free to download and use it.

We use BreezeBrowser in our studio for renaming, etc. I agree that it is a great browser program. But, there are some things we needed that nothing else did at the time. One was to automatically create b&w, sepia, pdf slideshows, web galleries and automatically rename the appropriate files in one step.

We still use Quick Photo from time to time. But, our need for it grew less after we decided to outsource our printing and web galleries to Pictage. They take care of almost all of the backend including the b&w, sepia, printing, cd-rom creation, etc.

I am not familiar with the other shareware program mentioned above.

Re: batch program

Yes, PC only. One of the other reasons I decided not to get into the software cottage industry.

Too many platforms and too many OS versions to keep up with. I give it up to the coders who can keep up with it all.
