Ways to deliver files to client online

Has anyone got a way to deliver high resolution files to clients online?

I'm thinking a gallery of some sort on an FTP site. It would be nice if the clients could sort, choose and then download as many or few as they would like. Or, if they could mark files as they go through a gallery and then download the selected set.

I don't think that PS CS2, iView Media Pro, or the Aperture galleries do this.

I'm currently shooting a D2x, and processing RAW files into TIFFs with Aperture. Dual 2GHz G5, 4 Gb RAM, Adobe CS2 apps., Aperture, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Peace, Curt

Re: Ways to deliver files to client online

Hi Curt,

My solution of online delivery is via my web page that is hooked into PhotoShelter™ - Archive, Buy, Sell Photographs that has galleries, light table, sharing potential, designated viewers, and allows for open downloading or photos for sale with infinite custom possibilities. And yes all these are large files with its own Java script for up and downloading and FTP too if you like.

Check out PhotoShelter and Welcome to www.DigitalRailroad.com! Search Results Powered by OXiDE search ....radical results (TM) too both are about the same but PS is cheaper.

Cheers,

Re: Ways to deliver files to client online (Vendor Suggestion)

Hi Curt,
You could also try Spitfire Photo (www.spitfirephoto.com).
Spitfire offers the built-in ability to distribute your high-res images to your clients either by FTP or direct download. In addition, you can create and manage accounts for each of your clients from within the system and grant the appropriate access rights for your various image sets. Spitfire also include lightboxes for grouping images of interest to download.
Thanks,
Jody
