Bridge -- Stop Correcting Me!!!

Hi,

Does anyone know how to turn off the auto corrections for raw files in bridge? The program is making me crazy by underexposing my shots by a stop or more, adding color adjustments, etc.

I just want to view my images how I shot them, then will adjust them myself later.

thanks, JP

This must be the Most Fequently Asked Question in all the forums I follow. Open a RAW image in CameraRAW, uncheck the automatic corrections, and choose 'Save New Camera RAW Defaults'. If you have more than one camera model, do this of each model.

Johan,

Thanks for the tip. This has been bothering me too. I could not seem to figure this out either. Quite counterintuitive!

I'm frequently mystified by how Adobe obscures certain user options by default. A rare annoyance with a great product. It's a strange circle of life between engineering, marketing and real world use.
