Closing Preview Pane in PM

I am using PM in demo mode, intending to use it as the first step in a workflow, with iView as a database thereafter. I have been using iView for a while now and have gotten accustomed to the VERY useful ability to doubleclick on an image and have it enlarge, then doubleclick again and it gets smaller. It seems tedious in PM to have to use the cursor to scroll across to close the Preview Pane to get back to a Contact Sheet. I know I can have the thumbnails at bottom of Preview Pane, but its useful to be able to go back to the full contact sheet to view a lot of images at once. Is there a workaround for this that I have not noticed?

Kirk - excellent! I had tried all the lower keys around the Space Bar where many of the useful functions are, but none of the top keys. Thanks for that.
