Meta Data Question

If I tag images in Photo Mechanic.
Is it actually creating a flag in the meta data of the digital file???

If so where exactley.
I would like to extract the tag/class with another application.

Please advise.

It depends on what you mean by "meta data". If you mean to say does the tag and color class get put into the IPTC data, then no it does not get put into the IPTC data.

The location depends on the file format. What kind of files are you dealing with?

Hi,

I use as picture browser PM, as raw converter Bibble and as catalog program iMatch. PM is the ideal program to rate pictures thanks to its unsurpassed speed and comparing capabilities. However, neither Bibble not iMatch can use the ratings I give in PM so in this workflow I can only rate in iMatch at the end of the chain. Does anybody have a solution for this?
