Suggested improvements for email window.

Kirk,

I noticed one of the improvements for 4.3.8 is:

[ QUOTE ]
In the FTP As command when saving as JPEG, if the source file is also a JPEG and no cropping, rotation, or scaling is applied, it will only be recompressed if the quality setting is less than maximum.

[/ QUOTE ]

1. So...could the "no recompression" option also be applied when emailing at full size ?

A couple of other things that I personally would find useful for the email window:

2. An option to reset the {seqn} variable from within the window (I send each image on a separate email with a subject line including {seqn})

3. While we're on that subject, another variable which contains the number of pictures selected/being sent would be handy, but is not essential.

4. An option to have the body text only applied for the first email sent, and being blank for the rest.

1 and 2 would be *really* useful for me; 3 and 4 would really just be the icing on the cake.

Keep up the good work,

~ Nick

That will be addressed in version 4.4.

2. An option to reset the {seqn} variable from within the window (I send each image on a separate email with a subject line including {seqn})

OK.

Is this so you can do "x of n" for subject title purposes?

4. An option to have the body text only applied for the first email sent, and being blank for the rest.

I'll have to think about that one.

Thanks for the feedback,

-Kirk

Yup, that's exactly it. It's not the end of the world if you can't, and I can't really think of any other circumstance where it might come in useful within PM.

Thanks again, Kirk

Re: Suggested improvements for email window.

I'd like to kick in my reminder on how great it would be if the email window would, if asked to do so, convert the color tag to sRGB which is what most email programs will want to view it in.
(Many of us only use sRGB for email and web use).
