Re: CS2 Benefits????

Thanks Rob,

We do use XP in the studio and we are all suffering scratch disk problems. This is the kind of fix I was hoping for! I think I just might go ahead and upgrade now!

Re: CS2 Benefits????

In addition to other plusses, the batch processing is supposed to be light years ahead of CS. The only problem for those who have Adobe Creative Suite; you will not be able to upgrade only the Photoshop CS portion of your Suite. According to Adobe with whom I spoke earlier, the only way to upgrade to Photoshop CS2 is by upgrading the whole Suite or upgrading from an earlier version of Photoshop.

I am pursuing this with ASMP to see what they can do. Meanwhile, if there are others who are in this same boat, I would encourage you to call Adobe and complain. Microsoft, Norton, and others allow you to upgrade portions of their suites without upgrading the whole suite.

One thing that I did not know about and came as a good surprise: there is a new excellent lens correction tool with large previews. Did not try it fully yet but seems to make my imaging factory plug ins obsolete.
