Photo Mechanic 4.3.2 has been released. This is a maintenance release and only has minimal feature additions.
* (Mac) Fixed crash problem when the Ingest Disks command is selected while an empty contact sheet window is open.
* (Mac) Fixed crash problem experienced by some users when opening a contact sheet. This problem was related to the Navigator. Also changed the Navigator to only draw a disclosure triangle when the folder actually contains folders.
* (Win) The folder picker dialog now shows the root Desktop folder.
* Fixed divide by zero problem when using 0 DPI in Save As, FTP As, and Print dialogs.
* (Win) the Alternate Color Profile path in the Print dialog is now only scanned one level deep to avoid a potential slow startup of the Print dialog.
* Added a {frame4} or {fnm4} variable for the last four digits of the frame number. Some cameras such as the Canon D30, D60, and 10D internally write a 7 digit frame number that is a combination of a 3 digit folder number and a four digit file number.
That's it.

I wanted to make sure that everyone knows about the single-key shortcuts in PM. This was posted on another thread and was easy to miss.
These are for the Mac, but the only difference between the Mac version and Windows version is when you see "option" then you should use "shift" on Windows.
Preview Window:
Z: turn zoom on/off
+: increase zoom factor
- : decrease zoom factor
L: lock the two previews so that you can pan around in them together
O: one up view
V: two up view (landscapes)
H: two up view (portraits)
C: toggle color management
F: full screen mode (toggles)
R: restore from full screen mode
1-8, 0: set color class
T: toggle tag
U: upload photo
X: toggle crop tool
[: rotate CCW
]: rotate CW
A: play sounds (if any). Typing A again will stop sound playback.
I: IPTC Info
D: dismiss photo from selection
Y: copy photo
M: rename photo
E: edit photo
S: save as
Space bar: used in zoom mode to get "hand" cursor to pan around screen.
option key: will give you the "hand" cursor in zoom mode as well.
option-arrow keys will pan around in the zoomed mode.
shift-option-arrow keys will pan around in the zoomed mode, but faster (50 pixels instead of 10 at a time)
option-scroll wheel will zoom in and out of the photo.
Contact sheet:
If you have only one photo selected then:
You can use the arrow keys to move the selection around.
Hitting the space bar will preview the photo that is selected.
A: will play any sounds. Typing A again will stop sound playback.
T: toggle tag
+: turn tag on
- : turn tag off
[ : rotate CCW
] : rotate CW
U: upload photo via FTP
I also wanted to let you know that if you hold down the option key when doing various things, it will perform shortcuts. For instance, when you are in the Rename dialog, holding down the option key and clicking on the "Set {seqn} variable..." button will reset the sequence variable.
Other places this works:
If you have done a rename and just want to select some more photos and rename them the same way, holding down the option key when you choose Rename (or Command-Option-M) will skip the Rename dialog and just do the rename immediately. This works with Copy, Rename, Save As, FTP As, Delete, etc.
When using the hover buttons (the buttons that appear over the top of photos in the contact sheet when you have the mouse over them) if you hold down the option key then the change is applied to all of the selected photos. For instance if you have 10 photos selected and you hold down option and then click on the Rotate CCW button, then all 10 photos will be rotated CCW. Same for the Tag box, and Color Class popup.
I'm sorry this stuff isn't documented better, but whenever you think that something is tedious in PM, usually the option key can be used to do repetitive things quickly and without seeing the user interface each time. On Windows, the shortcut key is the "Shift" key.

PM 4.3.2 crashes when I try to FTP out of it. Just flat out quits. I'm on a Mac using OS 10.3.7. Another shooter is having the same problem. He is also using a Mac.
Any new settings for FTP-ing I need to know about?
Thanks much,
Jake Schoellkopf

Do you get a dialog that gives you an option to send a report to apple? If so, then it is likely that the crash caused a crash log to be generated. It would be great if you could send that to me. Contact me privately by clicking on my name to the left of this message and I'll give you all of the details.
Thanks,

The new release has been posted for Mac OS X. The Windows version required no changes. Mac OS X users of version 4.3.2 should download version 4.3.2 again.
Once again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.
