benchmark : photoshop 9 vs X

hallo forum

we're having here a discussion about photoshop beeing faster in OS-9 or in OS-X (Jaguar) .

Does anybody has links of benchmarks ??

I believe that www.barefeets.com has tested PS 7 on OS9 vs OSX. I also recall that i read that it is indeed faster on OSX..

I've used Photoshop 7 in 9.02, classic and OS X Jaguar. It is much faster in Jaguar than classic and somewhat faster than in in 9.02. I've finally reached the point where everything I'm using runs in OS X. After you get used to OS X you really don't want to use OS 9 if at all possible. It's so nice to be downloading on the web, printing in Photoshop and checking your email or surfing the web all at the same time! All of this on a G4 400mhz tower.

I'll agree, just the fact that it can work in the background while you do other things makes it feel faster. The progress bar in the Dock icon is way cool too, you can tell where your at, at a glance.
