The guys in the car handled themselves really well. Still, they're lucky there wasn't a tank there. The woman reporter seemed to get hit with a stray round from an assault rifle (like an AK-47). It's a big bullet wound, but luckily it didn't go all the way through, or hit a bone. The thing that always freaked me out about being in conflict zones is the amount of stray lead that's just randomly flying around. Somebody takes a shot at somebody else and misses, those bullets are going to end up somewhere.
Local media always take a beating in war zones. So far in the Georgian conflict, four journalists have been killed.
