Competitions-Lets make a list!!

Greetings All,

We're trying to put a list of photographic (press / pj) competitions for our members at the BPPA (www.thebppa.com). We're still compiling the list, and I'm sure apart from the obvious ones, we're not aware of them all!
I thought this would also be useful for all, so can I invite you all to post links to all applicable competitions around the world??

There are a number of well-known and lesser-known competitions listed in this thread on the Eastern Canadian News Photographers Association web site:

The deadlines noted are obviously for 2005, but there are web site links for most of the competitions listed.

For competitions (if it has not already been mentioned) you could enter "competitions" in the Lightstalkers search box. You'll get lots of results.

Hi Edmond,

Good to see you at the BPPA gig. The Press Photographer's Year is an excellent idea. Competition, book, exhibition - any event that promotes professional photography has to be good. Congratulations to all.
