Just a thought.. As someone who's started as freelance, not staff, I've gone on shoot-alongs with staff photographers, taken classes, and tried the "experiment after you get the safe shots" technique. But what helps the most is critques from good photographers and photoeditors. How about a portfolio review capablity for this excellent website? Post your work and get critiqued by the experts?

Now that I think is a great idea. I don't believe that noone else has said anything about it. Adding an area to get your photos critiqued on this site would be a great idea and I would offer my services to help create such if need be!
