Have we reached the end of the line as far as lenses go? Do the latest generation of high resolution sensors actually outresolve our best lenses?

EOS 1000D, which will be called the
EOS XS in North America. This is a new entry level DSLR. No word yet from Canon USA on pricing or availability.
No word yet either on the inevitable
Canon 5DII, nor for that matter the
Nikon D3x or
D90. All should be announced soon though. (
