March 27, 2007 – The Mamiya ZD in a hands-on report
After a delay of two years following its announcement at Photokina in 2004 the unique 22MP
Mamiya ZD camera started to ship. But, and it's a big
but, not in the US or Canada.
Now, some eighteen months later the ZD has become available in Canada, and the ZD back for the Mamiya AFD and RZ cameras has started to ship worldwide as well. There are even hints that these products may become available in the US soon as well.
Vistek, the new Canadian distributor for the Mamiya line in Canada, was kind eenough to lend me a ZD recently, and
my hands-on report on this camera is now online.
________________ Adobe has announced today the release of its

I'd like to thank everyone that turned out this past weekend for the introductory print sale at
my new gallery in Toronto. It was a great succes, and I very much appreciated meeting so many people, new faces as well as those who have attended some of my seminars at various venues in Toronto in the past.
The print sale continues, so if you're in the Toronto area, drop in. I'd enjoy meeting you. Call first though to make sure that I'm there that day. (416) 462-1170.
I'm announcing today that
the formal opening of the gallery will be on Friday, May 18th at 6pm, with a public reception, and then an open-house on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 / 20. The inaugural show will feature work from
Antarctica done in February of this year, along with my upcoming shoot in
The Amazon which comes up in a few weeks.
