This month's theme is: Portrait It can be formal or informal, individual or group but will be limited to people. (animals and pets will be a theme for another month)
Images must be submitted by January 16, 2008 @ 9:00PM (GMT -5).
The winner receives his/her choice of The COLORRIGHT white balance tool, a Lifetime Membership or 1000 Reputation Points.
Please just upload photos with any personal comments to the gallery. Please do not reply with comments on the images until the contest is closed.
All registered full members may participate. "Basic Members" are not eligible to participate.
After submissions are complete, a poll will be added to the thread. All members may vote for their favorite image. Voting will stay open for 1 week.
Please only post one image per contest per month. Existing winners may continue to post each month. In the event of a tie there will be a runoff vote to determine the winner.
Images may include Photoshop work.
For jpeg attachments max size is approximately 200k. Max Width and Height are 800 pixels. However, I do believe it will resize the image automatically if it falls outside of the width and height range.

From a product shoot last summer using a Zeus ZRM-1 Ring-flash with Moon Unit softbox to the left and slightly above the camera.

One of the pupils at a school in Namibia where most have lost their parents.
Canon 1D3 with 100-400 4.5 - 5.6 IS lens at 285 mm (hand held) 1/50 sec AV mode at 5.6 ISO 3200
