Yeah, I know...not much one can do about it other than hope more will enter and more will vote. I am still relatively new to the site and not sure how many people are very active on here.

I usually try to enter when I have something appropriate, but I didn't have anything on this subject handy. Besides, I would have been outclassed by your entry, Anthony. Well done.

Not to take away from Anthony's fantastic shot, but I wanted to comment on Michael's water drop shot. I can only imagine what work went into that shot. It's a fantastic shot that required a huge amount of time and patience. The problem is that it lacks instant impact. Impact or the 'wow' factor is what makes or breaks a shot when they are judged. When I judge, the first second determines whether it is in or out and the rest of the time is determining the actual score.
The shot of the fly immediately grabs you and creates a feeling of awe & wonder, even though it was probably (I seem to recall from his description) more of a lucky break that Anthony was in the right place at the right time and the fly decided to sit still long enough to co-operate. This is not to take away from the effort or the shot, a great photographer seizes the moment, the rest of us just watch.
Michael, I'd work on your water drop shot a bit and see if you can add some color splash to it. The monotone of blue (cool & passive) seems to fight with tension & drama of the water action. I'd sure like to see this shot with some drama infused in it. I think it deserves a little extra work because I think there is a winner waiting to be unveiled.
I'd like to see others add constructive/positive comment on the entries that were posted. Perhaps the entrants and those of us just too shy to enter will learn something from the comments as well as the images themselves.
