For jpeg attachments max size is approximately 200k. Max Width and Height are 800 pixels. However, I do believe it will resize the image automatically if it falls outside of the width and height range.

Alternately, you may just want to upload your image to the photo gallery click on "Add Reply" (not quick reply) and follow these directions: New! Easily drop in images to Posts or Blogs

Hello all,

Here goes my submission for April.

Caption:
Desafío de Los Volcanes 2007
Brazilian Team Selva NSK Kailash climbs down Villarica volcano in the middle of a very strong windstorm just after leaving the summit in perfect weather conditions. After descending Villarica at Check Point 14, it took them nine hours and thirteen minutes to get to the finish line in Pucón in 4th place at 21:30 (GMT -4). Pucón, IX Region - Chile, Monday, April 02, 2007.

The Desafío de Los Volcanes (Volcanoes Challenge) one of the most challenging and important adventure races in America was held this year between March 26th and April 2nd, leaving the city of San Martín de Los Andes in Argentina to reach Pucón in Chile after more than 550 Km (342 Miles) and 5 uninterrupted race days (for the first teams, slowest teams took up to 7 days to complete) with disciplines ranging from Trekking, Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Ropes sections and Vertical techniques. Only 4 teams out of 48 who left San Martín were able to complete the whole race and reach its high point, the ascent to the summit of 2,847 meters (9,340 feet) Villarica volcano, one of South America's most active volcanoes located on the Andes Mountain Range's "Ring of Fire". It took exactly 5 days, 21 hours and 18 minutes for Argentinean Team 2050 Proof HYA to reach the finish line in first place after overcoming all the challenges that led them to Pucón.

Nikon D2x Camera, Nikkor AF VR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 lens at ISO 200, 1/1600 sec. f/9.0.

The title of this image is Urban Reflection.

I have been watching this government building for quite a while. Just by looking at it I knew it held a secret. So once a week at different times I would pass by the building. One day I passed by the building and it reveled its secret! I am sharing it with you.

This image was taken the night before Super Bowl XLI. This is one of my first serious attempts at HDR photography.

Taken after a Mardi Gras charity event.

After coming home, my wife wrapped all the beads around Geo, who had just woken up. Between the beads, the reflection and the expression, it cried out for being a poster. Since then I've added some text to the photo (convenient black space)

Shot Nikon D70, Tamron lens at 110mm, 1/60 sec at f5.6
