December Favorite Photo Contest

Favorite Photo Contest
Photo Contest Rules:

Each month we plan to have monthly photo contests.

Please just upload photos with any personal comments to the gallery. Please do not reply with comments on the images until the contest is closed.

The contest will be for "Favorite Photo of the Month." This contest is open to any type or field of Photography. From photojournalism to event and wedding.

Submissions will be open for One Week starting today. All registered full members may participate.

After submissions are complete, a poll will be added to the thread. All members may vote for their favorite image. Voting will stay open for 1 WEEK.

The Winner this month will receive a FREE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP.

Please only post one image per contest per month. Existing winners may continue to post each month.

Thanks,
Drew

Images may include Photoshop work.

For jpeg attachments max size is approximately 200k. Max Width and Height are 800 pixels. However, I do believe it will resize the image automatically if it falls outside of the width and height range.

Alternately, you may just want to upload your image to the photo gallery, click the "copy to clipboard" link and then just click on the little mountain icon in the reply text box to link to the photo in your gallery. There are no real size limitations on what you can upload to your photo gallery. In other words, no need to resize the image. Just hit the upload photos button and away you go. It takes care of the rest.

Ok, here's one. It evokes a feeling of Hobbits and the dale for me. Taken on one of our local walking tracks...

I hope this works.

I was making macro images of insects in foliage near a lily pond in Ocean Point, Maine, when this cat crawled out of the bushes and looked up at me. How could I resist?

Canon 1D MkII, EF100mm 2.8 macro, Canon RingFlash, and Photoshop CS2.

(Walter: I have added the link for you. The "copy to clipboard" button only appears in IE. In other browsers you will want to simply copy the "direct link" path information directly below the image.- Drew)
