Olympus E3 user

a newbe here and wanted to see if there are any other Oly users on the forum,,

have been a Nikon user for most of my life (a few other formats along the way) and have always like the Oly glass so when I was buying a new DLSR figured I would compare against the other brands in that dollar range,, was comparing the D300, A700, K20D, 40D and the E3,, after three separate and lengthy visits to the local photo store I finally selected the Oly E3,,

I knew the D300 had an edge over the Oly in very low lighting but I loved the skin tones the Oly produced right out of the camera and especially the Oly glass,,

I have the 35-100 f2, 50 macro f2, 12-60 2.8-4, 50-200 2.8-3.5, and their 1.4 converter,,

I shoot all the grandkids sports and most of the gyms have horrendous lighting conditions so I purchased the Coloright WB disk this past weekend and will be trying it out this coming weekend,, tested it out in the basement under various fluorescent lighting and it worked great,,

Re: Olympus E3 user

I use an E-3 and have the Panasonic/Leica 14-50 F2.8, Panasonic/Leica 25mm 1.4, Olympus 50mm F2, and the 50-200 F2.8. I switched from using a Minolta 7D and a Sony A700 and so far I have no regrets. I feel that the glass is some of the best available and their lenses are sharp even when shooting wide open. H

How do you like the 35-100 F2? That and the 14-35 F2 are on my list. It is just a matter of being able to afford them.

Adam
