Sony A350 camera

I have a 350 on order, should have left today on it's way here. This being a new camera, I just ordered the kit lens for it until I have time to evaluate its usefullness to my style of image making. The Zeiss lens will come next if everything pans out.

I had a Minolta 5D at one time and sold it. I regretted that move a couple times as it was a pretty good camera.

Anyone else going for one?

Well, Adorama waited two day and then sent an e-mail that said they had made a small error. turns out they in fact do not have the cameras. I canceled the order.

They called me back to say the package had shipped. turns out it was just the lens. Guess I'll be patient and wait for the camera to arrive.

Sony Alpha 350 is here! I know the majority of this forum are either Nikon or Canon, but this is a very impressive camera. I'm not qualified to do a review, but maybe Drew would do one.

14mp, true "live view", {you can shoot at esentially the same frame rate using live view as the viewfinder}. Very simple and easily accessed menu. Folding 2.7" bright lcd. IQ is very high, {my opinion}. In a D40 sized camera. Perfect for landscape and flower photography, {why I bought it}.

It's so small I will be buying the battery grip, {holds two Lion batterys for 1500 shots}. The Carl Zeiss lens that are available are the second reason I got one.

Anybody know the scoop on the CCD Super HAD sensor Sony used?
