That is correct Mike. It proves to me that the limiting factor to how fast a camera shoots is the computer that runs it and the card it records to. I had thought the physical shutter limitations was the limiter. This camera also has a ISO priority feature. No other camera has this that I know of.

It's probably an electronic 'shutter'. The actual shutter stays open, while the sensor pulses out the actuations. The Nikon D1's did that. It's why you could get a + 1/500 flash sync and a 1/16000 top shutter speed. I could never figure out why they never put that into later cameras.
