| Re: Kodak Software and Intel Macs PhotoDesk is not what I was worried about. Though I've always liked Photodesk, there are other good raw processors that are still current and still support Kodaks. Bridge/ACR provide a very nice workflow the my 14nx files. Camera Manager is/was my concern. A very high percentage of my shooting is done tethered.
I took the plunge and bought an entire Canon system this past week. Will be saying a reluctant goodbye to my Kodak/Nikon gear very soon. After 32 productive years with Nikon and 10 with Kodak digital, this is not a decision I made lightly. Image quality with the 5D is remarkably similar to what I can get out the 14nx but the workflow and camera handling is much better... especially as I look to the future. I'm shooting tethered with a 5D and monitoring the shoot with Bridge. A very good workflow indeed. Tethered shooting with the 5D is faster than the 14n and so far... very reliable... even with my cobbled together long USB cable made from a handful of extension cables stuck together. The shooting interface allows simpler control of the camera and takes up very little screen real estate. It's great for working on a location laptop.
