Others on this forum, in the past, have said that the AA filter just softens the image slightly as a way of stopping moire. In my opinion, if you don't have to deal with shooting things prone to moire, I wouldn't use it. In my photos that had it, I used either Photo Desk's adjustments or eliminated it in Photoshop after converting.
I'd rather have a slightly sharper image and deal with moire as it presents itself.
