Anyone using Capture One with E-1??

I've been using Studio and ACR but I tried Capture One's demo and it seems really good. Anybody??

Haven't used Capture one but I have been using RawShooter Esentials, and like how that program has been working. I find it gets the colors better then ACR.

I have been playing with Capture One with the E-1 and I find that it does a much better job of removing noise while retaining image detail than ACR in CS2 where I have found that you need to crank up the luminance noise reduction to around 50 for the same amount of noise reduction. I should add that I haven't had the camera for very long but I have been putting it through it's paces and C1 is the best I found so far.

Best,

Joe

Joe,

did you completely switch to the E1 system? If so why and what system did you use before?

Re: Anyone using Capture One with E-1??

I'm currently evaluating the E-1 which I've shot for three weddings, two of which I used it as my main camera system. I have some equipment on loan and I bought one E1/grip/flash 50mm and 14-54mm to test. So far it has been a big adjustment from the Nikons I'm used to but aside from the noise (which I'm getting used to managing with raw) it has been proving itself a very capable alternative.

Olympus Kit:
(2) E1/grip
11-22
14-54
50mm macro
150mm
(2)FL-50
(1) FL-36 (this is awesome little flash for off camera work)

Nikon Kit:
(2) D1x
(2) D70
17-35 AFS
28-70 AFS
35 2
50 1.4
85 1.4
70-200mm AFS VR
(4) SB-800

Best,

Joe

I am looking into the E-1 for wedding work and am curious if you have arrived at a conclusion about whether it's suitible for this type of assignment. Thanks for any insight you can share.
