Re: Remote shutter release

Try an old-fashioned, dirt-cheap, mechanical cable release.

Re: Remote shutter release

I'm using a mechanical release now but want to get a little further away from the camera. There must be some sort of electronic release available but I can't find one. The Pocket Wizard is very pricey. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks again,
Gene

Re: Remote shutter release

It will work with the Nikon MC-20 or MC-30 electronic releases designed for the F5 (it uses the F5 remote release port, but is not compatible with all the F5 release cords).

Re: Remote shutter release

I have used a quatium radio slave with a NIkon adapter. I think it is MC-20 but I am not with my equitment right now. I have triggered my camera from across a big church.

Re: Remote shutter release

Since I am taking animal photos in nature, I want to be able to get away from the action. The quantum radio slave sounds interesting. Which cable should I use MC-20 or MC-30?

Thanks for the help...
