Who else repairs Kodak DCS cameras

My DCS 520 has the blinking "bc" problem. Sent it to Kodak and they want $350 for the repair. Before I spend the bucks, 1, is there anyone else who repairs Kodak DCS cameras? 2, Is it really worth it? and 3, why do I feel really wrong about this? As a friend once said, "I feel I'm missing a lot of caressing and kissing here!"

A good camera store should be able to help you. Keep in mind the DCS 520 is the same (or so close) to the Canon D2000. You can pick up another DCS 520 for $500 or less.

Re: Who else repairs Kodak DCS cameras

I am also looking for someone to repair my Kodak DCS SLR Pro. I sent it to Kodak, they lost it for a month . Then they said they couldn't fix it and charged me $150.00 for "diagnostics" with no paper work , or explanation of the damage. the verbal explanation was that there was corrosion and MOLD!.

I sent it in because the shutter wasn't firing.

Now I am stuck with a $5,000.oo cmaera that doesn't work. Does anyone know of a reputable digital camera repair place?

Kodak, won't return my calls.

Pam Francis

Re: Who else repairs Kodak DCS cameras

When I sent my SLRc in the techs were not too helpful with explanations. I did finally talk to the senior guy, hobe tellar, who was extremely helpful. Honestly, Im not sure who is more qualified than Kodak to service, but that is a good question - I'd like to know the answer as well.
Pam, Im curious, what kind of envoirment do you normally use the cam in? Are you in a humid region?...regards, William

Kodak is the only company that can service their cameras.
