Ok, thanks all. I am feeling a bit better now. The new firm/software seems promising. BTW, the color using the "roduct look" was right on the money. That's a good thing!

Ultimately though, I still prefer the characteristics of the noise from ACR 2.2 to that from Photodesk (That is, ACR 25 Color noise Reduction, v no NR in Photodesk).
