PC shift lenses on SLR/n

Ok, help me on this. I was told Friday by a Kodak tech on the phone that it was his understanding that the 85mm and 28mm PC Shift lens would indeed fit on the new SLR/n camera as they had altered the fitting ring or mount! Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

You just have to wonder where these so called Kodak employees come up with some of this stuff.

No unfortunately it does not at least my 28 PC fits exactly the same on the SLRn as it does on the 14n.

Steve,
Check the archives here on 85 PC and 28 PC. Many have made simple modifications to these lenses that allows their use with SLRn cameras. If you can't find the info you want, let me know and I can dig up some stuff for you.

Hi Joseph;
Don't worry, I have read all your posts and printed out all the archives on this subject. Thanks for your great information on the PC lenses. I already have an email out to Nikon and am awaiting a response from them to make the axis mod on my lens. I sort of suspected that the information I received might have been a little bogus. Oh well, gotta take everything with a grain of salt I guess.

Hello Steve, I have a "workaround" solution for the 28pc -mount the camera upside down onto your tripod using a flash bracket such as a stoboframe-this places the PC Shift screw into a useable mode for horizontal shots.

Steve,

get a good camera mech to grind a bevel on the end of the adjustment knob and it fits well - or if you're confident remove the knob and file it your self, it only needs a small amount.

has anyone used a 28 pc on a new 14n ?? SLR/n or 14nx ??

Chris

Re: PC shift lenses on SLR/n

why you are so worried about if the 28mm 3,5 nikon fits the kodak or not? on the 14n this lense shows shifted or not in all lense settings horrible and unusuable color shifts. better fast to forget this lense.... i have one for my seitz roundshot and its completely worthless on the 14n. no idea what is going on with this lense and the SLR/n,- also not with the 85mm.
