Re: PC shift lenses on SLR/n

Regarding the 28mm PC Nikkor lens. Does anyone know how to get the knob off? I took the top leatherette disk off the top. That revealed a brass shaft with 2 round holes in it. Am I supposed to unscrew this to get it off?

Lens optimization

Lens optimization is under the tools menu on the 14n.
Appropriate settings must be determined by trial and
error, since Kodak's recommendations are unreliable.
The SLR/n has no lens optimization setting with current
firmware.
