Recommendations for cleaning CCD chip

Does anyone have recommendations on how to safely clean the Canon D2000 chip?
Wondering if anyone has done it, or if you have taken the safe route and sent it to Canon/Nikon for cleaning?

I have cleaned my chips a few times with two products recommended by Kodak, and have had no problems at all. They are called "Sensor Swab" and "Eclipse", both from Photographic Solutions ( http://www.photosol.com ). The first is a cotton swab and the second is a chemical for removing dirt rather than dust. Make sure that you follow the instructions on the packaging.
