Help with paintball photos.

Hi there, Im starting to take photos of paintball matches but have only been taking photo for a few month. iv just got my self the 400d canon and was wondering what lens was the best to get for this type of sports. Any tips on taking this type of photos would be great thanks.

I haven't done any of those, but I'm guessing that a typical package would include sports action gear, chief of which would probably be a 70-200 fast zoom. You would need a little standoff room, and a fast lens for the action, and I would guess that a 70-200 2.8 zoom would be right in the ball park.
