Very interesting. Doubt if I'd have a use for it.

The pictures are interesting. There's a shot of a "Crocodile Dundee" character in the listing. I suppose he's trying to be Paul Hogan, but he isn't.

I wonder what he's trying to portray with that? A fake Paul Hogan doesn't lend overall credibility to the E-Bay listing.

Right -- but it does tell you something about the seller! See also the nonsense in there about using it to spy on the space shuttle. Like you could track the shuttle with a lens of that size and weight and nothing else...

I've seen pictures of similar looking lenses used to track rocket launches at NASA. The Canon mount is probably used for some kind of CCTV camera connection. They just want to make sure nothing fall off the rocket on it's way up.

You'd look pretty cool with that on a monopod at the local football game.
