How NOT to treat your customer.

There are times when one needs to keep one's mouth SHUT.

She may be getting paid, but she's no professional!

Re: How NOT to treat your customer.

Why is she not professional, and how does she slam her customer? Anybody in any profession is allowed to have and voice a political opinion, if you have access to publishing -with the Internet that makes everybody - you go open instead of becoming the typical closet freedom of speaker.

Since I cannot find her talking bad about the magazine which gave her the job [as she muses probably because her well known political inclinations] I don't see anything wrong. John McCain was not the one paying her, not her client. Portraiture is always about how the photographer sees [and interprets] the subject's character. One might not like this interpretation but that's a whole different story.

Re: How NOT to treat your customer.

I should think that John McCain could block her from using an unbecoming portrait image just by saying so. He's a public figure, but not in a public place at the time. Is this not the case?

Or maybe any press is good press for a candidate?

Re: How NOT to treat your customer.

Often with editorial photo shoots, photographers are chosen for their distinctive, even harsh styles. The work of Larry fink comes to mind.

If the photos are for editorial use, they can print anything they like.

I think she demonstrated a total lack of class, common decency and self discipline!

Maybe that second one's the photo they're going to send to the members of the Axis of Evil.
