Will the coming Canon 7D be able to take on the coming Nikon D700X?

With both of these hotly debated DSLRs coming soon, the obvious question is whether the Canon 7D will be able to compete against the Nikon D700X. Here's my thoughts and observations on the matter.

considering the fact that the Canon EOS 7D is a APS-c crop format camera it would seem it is intended to compete with the Nikon D300, not a full frame 24mp Nikon d700x

No.

The 7D and ANY future variant of the D700 won't even be direct competitiors, and of the two, the D700 variant will be the better piece.

Matt, I couldn't see any of your thoughts and observations in your post?

This is a forum where stuff is posted and discussed. It's not a personal blog feeder site although that seems to be what you are using it for.
