The discussion on what the user has to perceive to deem a software release 'major' or 'minor' is much older than the Web, though probably not as old as the Internet [counting Arpanet in].

Obviously a lot of work has been done under the hood => faster. Beside Auto Retouch and a completely new layout for the panels, palettes or whatever these are called nowadays the there's a revamped image browser supporting labels and ratings from other programs. Quick Fix is also new [and as is so often the case with Nikon's software, anything but finished].

Now I would agree with this these statements. Major or minor, I do like the speed increase and the Retouch is a nice feature.

Just an update to this post, I have used ver 2 for a while now and I have to say I like it a lot, however I still say not a major update from ver 1.
Of course that is just my opinion.
