Re: Nikon D700

Within Angel's post there's a message about what's good. The 1.5 crop was no problem but the ISO quality was pathetic for NIkon.
The D300 is a machine to be reckoned with and at the moment I don't need a better camera.
I don't think I need the D700 really... what for?

Bring on the D400?

Bill.

Angel
For a good perspective of the way Nikon's DSLR lineup is affecting one pro who uses both the D3 and the D300, go to Thom Hogan's initial view on the D700 here:

D700 Announcement by Thom Hogan

Note he says: "for the time being, that's exactly what I'll do: shoot D700 main and D300 for pixel density." That would seem to fit your situation, and may fit mine eventually too!

Re: Nikon D700

I've gone to NikonUSA.com and checked out the specs. My next camera will be a 3rd D3.
I shoot in the 4x5 crop mode
Faster
better battery
two flash cards
better work flow.
