I have had the Powerex 2700 mAh batteries for a couple years and they absolutely ROCK with the 8 cell charger. I carry 9 SB800s with 4 SD-8A battery packs and the Powerex batteries last all day and are easily cycled through the charger at night. I carry two of the 8 cell chargers on location and recharge at night. It's a great setup!

Energizer 2500 mah and a Maha MH-C9000 charger. Keep the batteries cool with a fan while charging. Charge at a rate 1000 ma. Works for me. I use them in my old Olympus E-10, a real battery pig, and my Canon EX-580 strobe. Also use the charger for AAA for my photo kit LED flashlight.

I have tried various battery brands but the 2500 Energizers seem to work best for me.

Always cool the batteries while charging. Heat kills so I understand.
